Dr. Hui Zhao is a distinguished medical physicist specializing in radiation oncology at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. As the Director of the Medical Physics Residency Program from 2008 to 2023, Dr. Zhao successfully built and secured CAMPEP accreditation for the program. Currently, Dr. Zhao leads product development collaboration at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, spearheading the development, testing, and clinical implementation of advanced radiation therapy technologies, including the HumediQ & Varian Identify system and the LAP LUNA 3D SGRT system. Additionally, Dr. Zhao has been leading the Low-Dose Rate (LDR) brachytherapy program since 2009, establishing and managing the eye plaque program at the institute.
