Dr. Mikhail F. Bagaturov is a distinguished biologist and conservation specialist known for his extensive contributions to zooculture, biodiversity preservation, and the study of lesser-known animal groups. Serving as the Head of the Department of Zooculture at the State Leningrad Zoo in St. Petersburg, he leads research and management initiatives aimed at enhancing captive propagation, improving husbandry methodologies, and strengthening species survival programs for a wide range of invertebrates and lower vertebrates. His work integrates scientific rigor with public engagement, particularly through educational programs designed to cultivate ecological awareness and inspire young learners toward environmental stewardship.
