Dmitry Zorov | Genetics and Molecular Biology | Excellence in Citation Achievement Award
МГУ имени М.В.Ломоносова | Russia
Dmitry B. Zorov is a distinguished researcher affiliated with Lomonosov Moscow State University, whose work spans biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, and medicine. His research primarily focuses on mitochondrial function and pathology, ATP synthase activity, metabolic regulation, adipose tissue biology, and the molecular mechanisms underlying acute kidney injury and systemic disorders. He has also contributed significantly to studies on microbiome–metabolome interactions, neuroprotection, and the physiological impacts of trauma and metabolic imbalance. Zorov has authored numerous influential publications in leading scientific journals such as International Journal of Molecular Sciences and Biochemistry (Moscow), often collaborating with prominent researchers including Egor Y. Plotnikov and Ljubava D. Zorova. In recognition of his contributions to science, he was elected a member of Academia Europaea.
