Professor Arstan Abdramanovich Mamyrbayev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, is a distinguished scholar and Professor at the Department of Hygienic Disciplines and Occupational Diseases at West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University. His illustrious academic and research career spans over four decades, during which he rose from a postgraduate student to become one of Kazakhstan’s most respected hygienists and toxicologists, as well as the first head of several republican research centers. He is an Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Culture and the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Professor Mamyrbayev has authored more than 350 scientific works, including 13 monographs, two textbooks, and a medical-environmental atlas, with several publications released in English, earning him wide recognition across the post-Soviet scientific community. With an H-index ranging from 6 to 8 across major databases, his research is both impactful and highly cited, reflecting his leading role in the field of hygiene and environmental health. As the founder of a renowned school of hygienists-toxicologists, he has supervised 17 candidates and 3 doctors of medical sciences, as well as numerous PhD and master’s students, contributing significantly to the development of scientific expertise in Kazakhstan.
