Dr. Theodore Metaxas is Professor of Economic Development at the University of Thessaly, Greece, where he also serves as Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Planning and Development of Tourism and Culture and as a tactical member of the University’s Quality Assurance Committee. He holds a PhD in Urban Studies and an MSc in Planning and Regional Development from the University of Thessaly, an MBA from Kingston University in the United Kingdom, and a BSc in Economics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His academic and professional work focuses on local and regional economic development, tourism and cultural planning, mega projects, sustainable urban and city development, and strategic planning, with a strong emphasis on applied research methods. Dr. Metaxas has developed an extensive research profile through publications in international peer-reviewed journals, edited volumes, and conference proceedings, contributing significantly to debates on place competitiveness, city branding, cultural economy, and development policy. His work often bridges theory and practice, examining how strategic planning, governance, and cultural and tourism assets can be leveraged to support sustainable regional growth. Professor Seyit Kerimkhulle is a distinguished Kazakh scholar recognized for his multidisciplinary expertise at the intersection of applied mathematics, economics, econometrics and finance, computer science, and data mining, with a strong focus on developing intelligent information technologies and decision-making systems for macroeconomic policy, financial markets, platform industries, and the national ecosystem. Holding a Doctor of Economics in mathematical and instrumental methods of economics, a Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in differential equations and mathematical physics, and a Professorship in economic sciences, he has built a solid academic foundation that bridges theory and practice. His research spans fuzzy logic applications, inter-industry linkages, sustainability criteria for digital platform industries, eco-innovation, and resource-use models that address energy-water-food systems, production, and consumption challenges. With a Scopus  and a Web of Science, Professor Kerimkhulle has contributed significantly to high-impact international journals such as Econometrics, Mathematics, Symmetry, Sustainability, Applied Sciences, and Energies, advancing knowledge in sustainable supply chains, information security, and econometric modeling. Over the past five years, he has led and contributed to major research projects funded by national grants, including developing intelligent decision-support technologies, applying fuzzy logic to economic imbalances, and creating algorithms for implicit data relationship analysis, alongside demographic and urbanization studies in Kazakhstan. He also holds several copyright certificates for innovative computer programs and databases related to intelligent analytics and decision-making systems, registered with the National Institute of Intellectual Property of Kazakhstan.
