Mr. Tolera Abdissa Feyissa is an academic and researcher in the field of Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering with extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. He has served in higher education for more than a decade, progressing through roles as graduate assistant, assistant lecturer, lecturer, and assistant professor within engineering institutions. His academic work focuses on hydraulics, hydrology, flood and drought risk management, groundwater hydrology, open channel flow, hydraulic structures, and water resources planning and management. He has played a significant role in postgraduate education, including coordinating a Home Grown Postgraduate Program in collaboration with international partners, where he was responsible for organizing research activities, coordinating scholars, and strengthening academic capacity. In addition to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, he has supervised and advised master’s students in hydraulic engineering on a wide range of research topics and has been actively involved in laboratory-based experimental work in hydraulic engineering.
