Dr. Seungbum Hong is a Senior Research Scientist at the National Institute of Ecology, where he has been conducting research since 2014. His work focuses on climate and environmental systems, supported by extensive experience in academic and research institutions. Previously, he served as a Research Professor at Ewha Womans University, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin in the Climate System Science Group, and a visiting researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. He completed his Ph.D. in Geological Sciences at the University of South Carolina, where he also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and gained teaching experience as an undergraduate teaching assistant.
