Dr. Patience Thabede has a diverse and extensive career history in the field of chemistry and education. Since May 2021, she has been working as a Technologist at Vaal University of Technology. Previously, she served as a Student Assistant in the university’s library from March 2017 to September 2017. From February 2014 to October 2017, Dr. Thabede worked as a Laboratory Assistant and Tutor at the same institution. Her experience also includes a significant role at Eskom’s Tutuka Power Station, where she served as the Chemical Services Manager from August 2009 to February 2013. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Tutor at Peninsula Technikon from February 1994 to October 1995. Dr. Thabede’s early career involved roles at Eskom, starting as a Trainee at Duvha Power Station from January 1996 to December 1996, and then as a Chemical Technician at Matla Power Station from January 1997 to December 2001.
