Dr. Karina Ferreira Chueng is a Brazilian geoscientist specializing in paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic reconstruction, with a strong focus on the use of silica biomineralizations, phytoliths, and carbon isotopes to study Quaternary environmental changes. She earned her Doctorate and Master’s degree in Earth and Ocean Sciences from the Federal Fluminense University and her Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the State University of Rio de Janeiro.
