Ren Jianhui, born in December 1986 in Tianzhen, Shanxi Province, is an associate professor and master’s supervisor specializing in regional economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Management Science and Engineering. His research focuses on regional innovation theory, spatial organization, and spatiotemporal data modeling. With over 16 publications, Ren has made significant contributions to understanding regional innovation dynamics in China. He has led multiple national and ministry-level research projects, exploring the impact of Social filters on innovation. In addition to his academic achievements, he is a partner at the China Regional Economics Research Network and a special commentator for the Shanxi Economic Information Channel. Ren has received several prestigious awards, including the “Three Educations” Advanced Individual award at Shanxi University of Finance and Economics. His work continues to influence regional economic policy and innovation strategies in China.

Ren Jianhui has a strong academic foundation in mathematics, economics, and management sciences. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Shanxi Datong University (2006-2010), followed by a Master’s in Regional Economics from Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics (2010-2013) under Professor Gao Yunhong. He pursued a Ph.D. in Regional Economics at Jinan University (2013-2017), where he was mentored by Professor Qin Chenglin. Expanding his expertise, Ren undertook a postdoctoral research program in Management Science and Engineering at Shanxi University (2020-2024), co-supervised by Professor Liu Weichi. His interdisciplinary education has equipped him with strong analytical skills in spatial economics, data modeling, and policy research. This academic journey has significantly influenced his research on regional innovation and social filter mechanisms, leading to impactful contributions in regional economic development and innovation theory.

Experience

Ren Jianhui has extensive experience in regional innovation theory, spatial analysis, and economic policy research. As an associate professor and master’s supervisor, he guides students in economic research and data-driven policy analysis. His research has led to 16+ publications in prestigious journals, contributing to innovation geography and spatial economic patterns. Ren has been the principal investigator of multiple national and ministerial research projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Education of China, focusing on the role of social filters in regional innovation. He is also a partner at the China Regional Economics Research Network and a special commentator for the Shanxi Economic Information Channel, where he provides expert insights on economic trends. His interdisciplinary approach, integrating R programming and spatiotemporal modeling, has strengthened his contributions to China’s economic policy and innovation development
