Adrià Bermudo-Gallaguet is an emerging clinical neuropsychologist and researcher specializing in the cognitive and emotional rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions. Adrià Bermudo-Gallaguet is currently completing his Ph.D. in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Barcelona, where his dissertation explores the cognitive and emotional benefits of mindfulness and exercise in chronic stroke patients. He holds a Master of Science degree in Neuropsychological Rehabilitation and Cognitive Stimulation from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Guttmann Institute, graduating with an exceptional score of 99/100 in 2022. Prior to this, he earned an MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Barcelona in 2019 with a final grade of 94/100 and was honored with the Master’s Degree Extraordinary Award for outstanding performance. His academic foundation was built during his Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Barcelona, where he specialized in Clinical Psychology and graduated with a final grade of 93/100, also receiving the Bachelor’s Degree Extraordinary Award for his academic excellence.

💼 Experience

Adrià Bermudo-Gallaguet has significant research and clinical neuropsychology experience. As a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Barcelona since 2019, he has played a pivotal role in the MindFit Project, an RCT exploring mindfulness and exercise impacts on stroke patients. His responsibilities range from protocol design to data analysis and professional supervision. He also served as a Research Intern in several RCT projects investigating cognitive and emotional rehabilitation for elderly and fibromyalgia patients. Clinically, Adrià trained at the Guttmann Institute, assisting in the neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation of brain injury patients, and at Bellvitge University Hospital, where he conducted evaluations for neurological and psychiatric patients and participated in intraoperative brain mapping. Adrià has also contributed to studies on the synergistic effects of exercise and cognitive stimulation in elderly individuals and on the efficacy of personal construct therapy for fibromyalgia patients with depressive symptoms.
