Md. Sahidul Islam is a dedicated educator and researcher in English language and literature from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He currently serves as a Lecturer in English at Queen Mary College, Dhaka, . Previously, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of English at the Asian University of Bangladesh , where he also completed both his Master of Arts in English Language and Literature and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English. His academic and professional pursuits reflect a strong commitment to language education, applied linguistics, and curriculum development. Md. Islam’s research has been published in reputable journals, including Ampersand (Elsevier), where his article “Unveiling the Professional Identity Construction of In-service University English Language Teachers: Evidence from Bangladesh” highlights his contribution to teacher identity research. His other scholarly works include studies on English syllabus evaluation and the psychological aspects of language learning, such as “The Role of Mental Perfection in Reducing English Language Anxiety among Bangladeshi Students”. Beyond academia, he actively engages in professional associations, notably as a member of the Bangladesh English Language Teachers’ Association (BELTA) and a lifetime member of the Asian University of Bangladesh English Association.
