Dr. Nina Lazar has an extensive educational background in architecture and building engineering, starting with her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Government Engineering College in Thrissur, Kerala. Graduating with First Rank from Calicut University in 2010, she continued her academic journey by pursuing a Masters in Building Engineering & Management at the School of Planning and Architecture in Delhi, where she graduated with Distinction in 2013. Dr. Lazar furthered her studies with a Ph.D. in the Department of Architecture and Planning at the National Institute of Technology in Calicut, Kerala, completing her doctoral research from 2017 to 2021. Her educational accomplishments reflect a strong commitment to excellence and a deep passion for the field of architecture and building engineering.

Dr. Nina Lazar brings a wealth of industrial and teaching experience to her role, with a focus on sustainability and architectural design. She served as a Sustainability Architect in the ESG Wing of the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) from October 2021 to May 2023, where she contributed to sustainable development projects. Prior to this, she worked as a Design Coordinator at Synergy Property Development Services from July 2013 to July 2016, gaining valuable experience in coordinating design processes. Dr. Lazar also has experience as a Part-time Architect at Kavyam Design Studio in Thrissur, where she worked from November 2010 to May 2011. In addition to her industrial experience, Dr. Lazar has a strong background in academia. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Senior) at the School of Architecture, VIT Vellore, a position she has held since June 2023. Before joining VIT Vellore, she worked as a Teaching Assistant at the National Institute of Technology Calicut from July 2017 to October 2021, where she contributed to the education and development of future architects. Dr. Lazar also has experience as a Visiting Faculty at Government Engineering College Thrissur, where she taught from December 2010 to May 2011.
