Dr. Md Billal Hossain holds a PhD in Management and Business Administration Sciences from the Hungarian University of Agriculture & Life Sciences (MATE), Hungary, where he completed his degree with summa cum laude distinction and earned the highest diploma score (5.0/5.0). His dissertation focused on “Value of Trust and E-Commerce Transactional Frauds in Bangladesh,” and he graduated as the fastest PhD holder in the history of the Doctoral School. He also earned an MBA in Business Administration from Kumoh National Institute of Technology, South Korea, completing a thesis on SME adoption of e-commerce in Bangladesh. Dr. Hossain began his academic career with a Bachelor’s in Management (Technology) from the University of Technology Malaysia. His diverse and international education provides a robust foundation for his multidisciplinary expertise in organizational management, technology acceptance, and innovation. His academic path has been supported by prestigious full scholarships and fellowships based on academic merit.

Experience

Dr. Hossain is currently a Senior Lecturer at Westminster International University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where he teaches a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Managing Innovation, Global Business Environment, and Strategic Talent Management. He also serves as a Visiting Researcher at Széchenyi István University’s Sustainability Competence Centre in Hungary. Prof. Rakesh Gupta is an Associate Professor of Accounting & Finance at Charles Darwin University, Australia, since July 2024. Previously, he served as a Senior Lecturer in Finance & Financial Planning at Griffith Business School, Griffith University, from 2011 to 2024. He has held multiple editorial roles, including serving on the boards of the Indian Journal of Finance, Delhi Business Review, DIAS Technology Review, and Asian Journal of Banking and Economy. He is an Associate Editor of the South Asian Journal of Business Studies and was a Co-editor of the Financial Planning Research Journal (2015-2021). Prof. Gupta has been a Non-resident Senior Research Fellow at the Chongyang Institute of Financial Studies, Renmin University, China, since 2015, and was a HaiTian Scholar at Dalian University of Technology (2014-2022). He has also held honorary professorships at Nanyang Institute of Technology, Yichun University, and Northeast Petroleum University in China.
