Wen Yang pursued his educational journey at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, where he completed his undergraduate studies from September 2008 to July 2012. During this time, he pursued a double degree in Building Environment and Equipment Engineering & Architecture. He furthered his academic pursuits by attaining a Master’s degree in Architectural Technology Science from the same university, studying under the guidance of Liu Jiaping from September 2014 to July 2016. Continuing his scholarly pursuits, Wen Yang obtained his Doctorate in Architectural Technology Science, once again under the mentorship of Liu Jiaping, from September 2016 to September 2021.

๐Ÿ“Workย Experience:

Wen Yang’s professional journey began in August 2012, when he joined the Architectural Design Department of Shenzhen Tianjian Group (in Shenzhen Huayi Design Institute for two months) as part of his early work experience, where he was involved in various architectural design projects. After completing his doctoral studies, Wen Yang returned to Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology in September 2021 as a faculty postdoctoral researcher, contributing to the university’s academic endeavors. In October 2023, he transitioned to the role of Associate Professor at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, where he continues to excel in his academic and research responsibilities.

In addition to his academic achievements, Yang Wen has made significant contributions in patent development, standardization, and literature. He is the first inventor of an invention and creation patent for “Low Thermal Conductivity Aerogel Slurry Modified Coral Sand Concrete and Its Preparation Method,” which is currently in the substantive examination stage. He also holds a utility model patent for “A window structure capable of flipping up and down,” which has been authorized. Yang Wen is actively involved in standardization efforts, serving as a key member in the compilation of the product standard “Determination of thermal conductivity of porous building materials containing moisture – Transient planar heat source method,” approved by the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association. He is also a participating member in the preparation of the group standard “Guidelines for Calculation Methods of Energy Consumption and Operating Carbon Emissions in Urban Buildings,” led by the China Urban Planning Society. Yang Wen has contributed to the development of several textbooks, including “Introduction to Building Carbon Neutrality” and “Building Heat Transfer,” as well as the “Green Development Report on Human Settlements in Cities along the Western Silk Road.” In 2022, he led a team in the Japan Asia Youth Science Exchange Program hosted by Kitakyushu University in Japan. Yang Wen’s dedication to education is evident in his role as a homeroom teacher for 2023 undergraduate students and as a research assistant to Academician Liu Jiaping.
