Ms. Alice Di Bella is currently a PhD candidate in Science, Technology, and Policy for Sustainable Change at Politecnico di Milano, under the supervision of Prof. Massimo Tavoni. Her research focuses on developing scenarios for effective and just decarbonization for Italy and the EU, a project she has been involved in since February 2023. From September 2019 to December 2021, Alice pursued a Master’s degree in Energy Engineering, specializing in Green Power Systems, at Politecnico di Milano. She graduated with the highest honors, receiving a 110/110 cum laude. During this period, she was part of the team that won the Enactus National Championship in 2020 with the project “Shea Matters.” Her masterā€™s thesis, conducted in collaboration with Eurac Research and supervised by Prof. Giampaolo Manzolini, focused on “Multi-Objective Optimization to Identify Carbon Neutrality Scenarios for the Italian Electric System,” completed between March 2021 and December 2021. Alice also participated in an Erasmus exchange program at Universidad PolitĆ©cnica de Madrid, Spain, from February 2020 to July 2020. Prior to her master’s, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering at Politecnico di Milano from September 2016 to July 2019, graduating with a score of 106/110. Ms. Alice Di Bella has been a visiting researcher at RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE) in Milan since January 2022. Prior to this, she served as a research trainee at Eurac Research in Bolzano from September 2021 to November 2021. From September 2019 to June 2021, Alice was the marketing team leader for Enactus Polimi, during which her team won the Enactus National Championship in 2020 with their project “Shea Matters.”
