He pursued his doctoral studies in Medical Physics, earning a Ph.D. from the School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, at the University of Patras in 1994. Academically, he lectured in Nursing and Physiotherapy at TEI of Patras (1996–2008), and from 2008 served as Assistant Professor, eventually becoming Associate Professor at the University of Patras.
