Prior to that, he earned his M.S. in Engineering Mechanics from the same university in 2001. Dr. Lamanna began his academic journey with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, specializing in Construction Materials, from Purdue University in 1998. His undergraduate studies were also in Civil Engineering, where he obtained a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from The Catholic University of America in 1997, concentrating on Construction Management.

Dr. Anthony Lamanna brings a wealth of experience to his current role as The Penta Building Group Professor and Undergraduate Coordinator at Arizona State University’s Del E. Webb School of Construction. He has been instrumental in shaping the program as the Program Chair from 2017 to 2023, during which time he also served as the Sundt Professor of Alternative Delivery Methods & Sustainable Development. Dr. Lamanna’s dedication to the field is evident in his role as Chief Engineer at Lamanna Engineering Consultants, LLC, where he has been involved since 2010 as a Consulting Structural Engineer. His academic journey includes positions as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Construction Management at Eastern Kentucky University’s Department of Applied Engineering and Technology from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, he served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Orleans and as an Assistant Professor at Tulane University’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
