Dr. Chilou Zhou is an accomplished academic with expertise in chemical process equipment and mechanical engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Process Equipment from Zhejiang University in 2015, following a Bachelor’s degree in Process Equipment and Control Engineering from Sichuan University in 2010. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at South China University of Technology since May 2018, Dr. Zhou previously held a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institution from April 2016 to April 2018. His research interests span hydrogen environment embrittlement, safety and life assessment of high-pressure hydrogen storage, and sealing technology for high-pressure hydrogen systems.

Dr. Chilou Zhou completed a Ph.D. in Chemical Process Equipment in 2015 from Zhejiang University, China. Prior to this, Dr. Zhou obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Process Equipment and Control Engineering from Sichuan University, China, in 2010.

Professional Experience:

Since May 2018, Dr. Chilou Zhou has been serving as an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, South China University of Technology, China. Previously, from April 2016 to April 2018, Dr. Zhou worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institution.

Research Interests:

Dr. Chilou Zhou’s research interests encompass several critical areas within the field of mechanical and chemical engineering. These include hydrogen environment embrittlement and its testing technology, safety considerations related to high-pressure hydrogen storage, life assessment methodologies for high-pressure hydrogen storage vessels, and advancements in sealing technology for high-pressure hydrogen systems.
