Dr. Tamer Said Sayed Mohamed Saleh is a distinguished Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the National Research Centre (NRC), Egypt, with extensive expertise in green and pharmaceutical chemistry. He earned his B.Sc. in Chemistry (1997), M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (2001), and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (2006) from Cairo University. Over the course of his career, Dr. Saleh has made significant contributions to the fields of sustainable synthesis, green chemical processes, and bioactive compound development. He began his academic journey as an instructor and assistant lecturer at Helwan University, later joining the NRC where he advanced from Assistant Researcher to Full Professor in the Green Chemistry Department. His research excellence is recognized through his role as a member of the Pharmaceutical Research Department at the Center of Excellence for Advanced Sciences. Dr. Saleh joined the University of Jeddah in 2010, where he has been instrumental in teaching a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Green Chemistry, Heterocyclic Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry. His scholarly impact is reflected in an h-index of 26, numerous peer-reviewed publications, and international recognition for his work in green and sustainable chemistry. Dr. Saleh’s achievements have been acknowledged with several prestigious awards, including the Misrelkheir Prize for Best Scientific Research (2009), the Excellence in Scientific Publishing Prize from King Abdulaziz University (2013), and the National Research Centre Award for Scientific Encouragement (2017). Through his dedication to education, innovative research, and interdisciplinary collaboration, Dr. Saleh continues to contribute to advancements in organic synthesis, environmental sustainability, and the development of eco-friendly chemical technologies.
