Professor Kostas A. Triantaphyllopoulos is an accomplished geneticist and academic specializing in molecular biology, genetics, and epigenetics. He earned his PhD with highest honors from the University of Patras in 1994 and subsequently spent over a decade as a senior research fellow in the United Kingdom, contributing extensively to biomedical research. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Genetics at the Agricultural University of Athens, where he is actively involved in both teaching and research. His work focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying health and disease, as well as gene–environment interactions and epigenetic regulation. With a strong background in molecular techniques, animal models, and computational studies, he has authored numerous high-impact publications with significant citation records. He has also received multiple academic awards and scholarships throughout his career and is an active member of several international scientific societies.
