Dr. Guangchuan Zhang completed his PhD in Engineering in Aerospace Science and Technology at Beihang University from September 2019 to June 2023. Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned his Master’s degree in Engineering in Aerospace Science and Technology at the same university, studying from September 2016 to January 2019. Dr. Zhang began his academic journey in Aerospace Science and Technology with a Bachelor’s degree from Beihang University, where he studied from September 2012 to June 2016.

Since July 2023, Dr. Guangchuan Zhang has been working at the School of Astronautics, Beihang University, where he holds the prestigious Excellence 100 Postdoctoral Fellowship at Beihang University (BUAA).

Dr. Guangchuan Zhang has significant research experience, including being awarded the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation 74th Top Grant for his work on “External Discharge E×B Vortex Plasma Propulsion: Strong Outflow Current Acceleration and Cross-Field Transport Mechanisms.” Additionally, he received a Special Grant from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation for his research on the “Evolution of Angular Currents and Driving Mechanism of Charged Particles in Magnetic Nozzles with Dual Magnetic Mirrors.”
