Ren Jianhui, born in December 1986 in Tianzhen, Shanxi Province, is an associate professor and master’s supervisor specializing in regional economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Management Science and Engineering. His research focuses on regional innovation theory, spatial organization, and spatiotemporal data modeling. With over 16 publications, Ren has made significant contributions to understanding regional innovation dynamics in China. He has led multiple national and ministry-level research projects, exploring the impact of Social filters on innovation. In addition to his academic achievements, he is a partner at the China Regional Economics Research Network and a special commentator for the Shanxi Economic Information Channel. Ren Jianhui has a strong academic foundation in mathematics, economics, and management sciences. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Shanxi Datong University (2006-2010), followed by a Master’s in Regional Economics from Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics (2010-2013) under Professor Gao Yunhong. He pursued a Ph.D. in Regional Economics at Jinan University (2013-2017), where he was mentored by Professor Qin Chenglin. Expanding his expertise, Ren undertook a postdoctoral research program in Management Science and Engineering at Shanxi University (2020-2024), co-supervised by Professor Liu Weichi.
