Dr. Hemraj Kumavat completed his Ph.D. from MPSTME, SVKM, NMIMS, Bombay in July 2023. Prior to his Ph.D., he earned his M.E. in Building Science and Technology from SSVPS COE, Dhule, affiliated with KBC NMU, Jalgaon, in September 2009, with a score of 67.05%. He began his academic journey with a B.E. in Civil Engineering from J.T.M. COE, Faizpur, affiliated with KBC NMU, Jalgaon, in June 2003, achieving a score of 62.21%. Before his bachelor’s, Dr. Kumavat completed a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Govt. Polytechnic, Jalgaon, affiliated with MSBTE, in June 2000, with a score of 63.16%. His secondary education includes SSC from the Divisional Board Nasik in June 1997, with a score of 65.20%.

Dr. Hemraj Kumavat has a rich employment history in the field of civil engineering. Since August 1, 2008, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at R.C. Patel Institute of Technology, Shirpur. In this role, he teaches Engineering Mechanics, Surveying-I & II, and is involved in consultancy work. He also contributes as a member of the “Third Party Technical Audit” for Shirpur Municipal. Before joining R.C. Patel Institute of Technology, he worked as a Consulting Structural Designer in Jalgaon from May 1 to July 30, 2008, where he focused on structural drawing and designing using software like BUILDMASTER and STADDPRO. Prior to that, from August 28, 2006, to June 16, 2008, he served as a Lecturer at Godavari College of Engineering, Jalgaon, teaching subjects like Engineering Mechanics and Elements of Civil Engineering. On the national stage, he was awarded the “Sir Arthur Cotton Memorial Prize” by The Institution of Engineers (India) at the 32nd Indian Engineering Congress in Chennai, held from December 21-23, 2017, for his research paper titled “An Experimental Investigation of Mechanical Properties in Clay Brick Masonry by Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregate with Clay Brick Waste,” published in the Springer Journal of The Institution of Engineers (India) in 2016. Dr. Kumavat also received the “Best Faculty Award of the Year” at TechNext India 2018, IIT Bombay, in the Annual Industry and Academia Conference and Awards, under the sub-category Specific Innovations, Manifest, Prototypes, and Patents, held on February 10-11, 2018.
